Summary of Duties:
The Embassy of Canada in Beirut, Lebanon is soliciting applications for an International Assistance Officer. Under the direct supervision of the International Assistance Program Manager, the International Assistance Officer will provide programme and administrative support to the Embassy’s Development Section. Responsibilities will include:
- developing and maintaining contact networks
- conducting research and analysis; monitoring and evaluation
- reviewing and drafting programming documents and briefings for higher management
- representing the Development Section in meetings, committees and/or working groups with international assistance stakeholders
- management of information and documentation in accordance with established policies, guidelines and procedures
- supporting official and/or high-level visits
- managing social media relating to the development program
- managing projects as required
- providing advice/recommendations on a range of development and country context issues
- be accountable for proper documentation and mission office processes that underpin Canada’s development funding in Lebanon
- performing other related duties
Area of Selection:
Open to internal and external applicants who are legal residents or citizens of Lebanon, who meet all of the essential requirements stated below, and whose applications are received by the closing date.
