ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

ABOUT THE JOB:
General objective:
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Managaer, the finance assistant supports the Finance Manager in the processing of all tasks relating to accounting and treasury.
The main challenges:
- Understanding the organization mission and financial goals.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
- Get familiar with the organization's financial systems
- Build relationships with key stakeholders
Responsibilities and main activities:
Treasury / accounting / management
- Establish a statement of needs for liquid assets in consultation with the finance manager.
- Carry out withdrawals and payment of advances, in accordance with established procedures.
- Keep the advance books and cash journal.
- Record budget allocations and accounting codes of the expenses
- check that the supporting documents of any purchase file to make they complies with Solidarités International procedures.
- Ensure that accounting documents are translated if necessary.
- Check cash balances daily and report any discrepancies to the line manager.
- Archive accounting documents in accordance with Solidarités International procedures, after a final check of supporting documentation
- Ensure cash box security and confidentiality of information.
- Manage the bank accounts and the bank reconciliation for the base.
- participate in the Preparation of monthly closing, revision, and integrity of accounts for the base.
- Supervise the voucherisation and archive of accounting records according to SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL procedures.
- Participate in audits or any checks issued by partners or head office, at the base level.
- Support the Finance manager with the VAT payment implementation at base level.
- Support the Finance Manager in the correction of monthly accountancy checked by the coordination.
Team management
- Train and support team members under his or her supervision (if any)
- Ensure the minimal replacement of members of the admin services in case of absence (days of, sickness etc.)
Reporting / communication
- Participate in supervision of regulations in effect.
- Participate to the Admin Pack preparation.
- Take part of the weekly meeting and report on a weekly basis to the Finance Manager

YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience working with budgets and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of NGO accounting practices and compliance requirements.
Transferable skills
• Excellent prioritization and organization skills.
• Proactivity, flexibility, autonomy, pragmatism, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Capacity to work under pressure and solve problems.
• Good analytical and writing/editing skills.
• Good communication and diplomatic skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
• Good and proven writing and spoken Arabic & English are required.
SI WILL OFFER YOU
A salaried post: 1615 USD as a monthly basic salary
Vacation: 1.5 days/month
