Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental, politically, and religiously neutral, not-for-profit organization (NGO), established in 1979 in France to conduct interventions worldwide. Action Contre la Faim- Liban (ACF-L) is a nongovernmental organization, registered in Lebanon (Decree No. 2080/2009, registration number 202 79 42), whose address is in Tyr – Hay AL Ramol Area, Awad Street – Abo Khalil Building – Second floor, TYR – Lebanon represented by Ms. Suzanne Takkenberg Country Director and on behalf Rana Karaouni as South head of base.

We as Action Against Hunger Lebanon take decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger through advocacy and programming.

We provide development support and humanitarian response with years of experience in hard to reach urban and rural areas, delivering WASH, Emergency and Nutrition services, and fostering self-reliance of vulnerable communities building food security and livelihoods opportunities.

We are experienced in negotiating access in complex environments, while ensuring the provision of high-quality service delivery in a timely and efficient manner.

Based in Tyre, the enumerator will have to conduct a given daily target of vulnerability assessment to conduct a phone call surveys for Lebanese and Syrian beneficiaries. The success of the data collection and the whole data reliability depends on the skills of every enumerator.

Action Against Hunger is implementing the project “LIVELIHOODS PROMOTION AND ECONOMIC ENGAGEMENT FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES AND HOST POPULATION IN VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN BEKAA AND SOUTH LEBANON”.

Type of activity:
Action Against Hunger considers an approach integrating livelihood and WASH sectors to meet the short-term needs detected (short term income generation activities, and skill training in solid waste management). The activity will focus on labor intensive work for characterizing the municipal solid waste in an existing sorting facility and cleaning 16 identified polluted sites in the targeted municipalities involving 3000 beneficiaries in Bekaa and 3000 beneficiaries in South – both from vulnerable host, and refugee communities divided on 19 months. 50% of the beneficiaries are Lebanese and 50% are Syrian refugees.

Daily worker Main duties and responsibilities:

• Actively participating in all the trainings and inductions related to the use of vulnerability assessment form and tracking sheets.
• Conducting vulnerability assessment daily, under the supervision of the FSL supervisors and database officer in line with ACF assessment protocols and SOPs.
• Track the assessed cases on agreed tracking sheets to be analyzed by MEAL and FSL Database officers.
• Support in other task assigned by the FSL supervisors as needed:
  1. Data verification (Phone calls)
  2. Archiving
  3. Documentation
  4. Scanning

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in conducting vulnerability assessments through phone and/or in-person.
• Able to use the Microsoft tools for tracking
• Able to deal with people in a smooth way and have a good communication skill
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to follow-up and monitor the received calls “if needed”
