JOB TITLE: HR Assistant
LOCATION: Beirut, Lebanon
ABOUT ABAAD
ABAAD – Resource Centre for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC-accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions.
REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to: HR Coordinator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for regularly updating employee files, completing new employee files, support in filling out of the national social security forms, and the ministry of finance form
- Support in preparing employment letters as needed
- Ensure collection at end of the month of all signed employees timesheet
- Provide administrative support and clerical work of the HR department, as needed
- Advertise job openings, receive CV’s and support in longlisting candidates
- Coordinate with senior HR Officer & concerned staff to schedule interviews with shortlisted candidates
- Process employee’s leaves, liaise with line management and communicate back to team members
- Support in tracking employees leave balances
- Support in coordinating staff activities
- Ensure respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and policies at all times
- Assist in any other HR task as required
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- At least one year of experience in Administration and Human Resources Department
- Understanding relevant legislation, HR policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to human rights, gender equality, non-discrimination.
- Flexible pro-active attitude
- Abide be ABAAD’s policies and procedures and code of conduct
- Ability to work across socio-cultural and religious contexts
- Belief in ABAAD’s mission and vision
- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, clear and concise reporting in English is strongly preferred. French is a plus
- Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good organization skills
- Have good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, as individual and within a team
