The Opportunity
Under the direct supervision of the Case Management Officers (and overall guidance of the Case Management Coordinator and Programme Manager), the Case Worker will be responsible for implementing activities related to case management, targeting vulnerable children and families including refugees, returnees and host- families, enabling them to meet their basic needs whilst enhancing protection through a multi-sector approach.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- BA in social work, social sciences or other related fields.
- Ability to write and submit weekly and monthly reports, develop schedules and collect data
- Understanding of social welfare systems and child protection mechanisms
- Experience in working with at-risk children and families, experience in case management in the emergency response.
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours in the event of major emergencies, with good time management skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic
- Experience in working with CPIMS systems for data management
- Experience in community mobilization and conducting outreach activities
- Good written and spoken English or French
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
- Self-initiator, with good team spirit, and creative in setting out realistic case plans
